These factors influence the movement noise
When using transport equipment, an unpleasant driving noise is naturally undesirable. In order to find the most noise-free castors and wheels from TENTE for your application, you should include the floor conditions in your decision-making process in addition to the quality of the castors and wheels and the hardness of the running surface.
As a general rule, hard wheels are used on soft floors and soft wheels on hard floors. Soft tread tends to run more smoothly and produce less noise. Harder wheels can cause more noise during operation, especially in the event of impacts caused by uneven ground. On soft floors and with lighter loads hard wheels can also operate with low noise and offer a high level of drive comfort.
In addition to wheels with hard and soft treads, we offer the TENTE hybrid wheel (HUR). This wheel combines a hard polyamide tread with a soft rubber core. This enables us to provide you a hard yet noise-reduced wheel that can be used on both soft and hard surfaces.
