Retention Period
As a matter of principle, we delete your personal data when it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
If we have asked for your consent and you have granted it, we will delete your personal data if you withdraw your consent and no other legal basis exists for processing it.
We delete your personal data if you object to its processing and no overriding legitimate grounds for processing it exist or if you object to its processing for the purposes of direct marketing or related profiling.
If we cannot delete your personal data because processing is still required to comply with a legal obligation (statutory retention periods, etc.) to which we are subject, or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, we will restrict its processing.
Further information on the retention period can also be found in the subsequent passages.
Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right to information
- Right to rectification
- Right to deletion
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
On grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object at any time to your personal data being processed, which is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, including profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data as a result unless we can establish compelling legitimate grounds for its processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or its processing for purposes of asserting, exercising or defending against legal claims.
If we process your personal data for direct advertising purposes, you are entitled to submit an objection against processing your personal data for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. We will then no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to your personal data being processed at any time if you have granted us such consent. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing performed based on the consent you granted until withdrawal took place.
You have the right to appeal to a supervisory authority concerning our processing your personal data.
Provision of Your Personal Data
In principle, the provision of your personal data is neither required by law nor by contract and is not required for concluding a contract. In principle, you are not obliged to provide your personal data. Should this nevertheless be the case, we will point it out to you separately when collecting your personal data (for example, by marking the fields as mandatory in forms where you enter data).
The failure to provide your personal data regularly results in us not being able to process your personal data for one of the purposes described below and you not being able to take advantage of an offer associated with the respective processing instance (example: if you do not provide your e-mail address, you will not receive our newsletter).
Web Hosting
We use external services for web hosting. These services may have access to personal data that is processed in the course of using of our online services.
Web Server Log Files
We process your personal data in order to be able to present our online services to you and to ensure their stability and security. In the process, information (for example, the element requested, the URL called up, the operating system, the date and time of the request, the browser type and the version used, the IP address, the protocol used, the amount of data transferred, the user agent, the referring URL, the time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and/or the HTTP status code) is stored in log files (access log, error log, etc.).
If we have asked for your consent and you have granted it, the legal basis for processing is formed by Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If we have not asked for your consent, the legal basis for processing is formed by Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the correct display of our online services and ensuring the stability and security of our online services.
Security
For reasons of security and to protect the transfer of your personal data and other confidential contents, we use encryption for our domain. You can recognize this in your browser bar from the character string https:// and the padlock icon.
Content Delivery Networks
We use content delivery networks provided by external services to optimize the loading time, stability and security of our online services.
If we have asked for your consent and you have granted it, the legal basis for processing is formed by Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If we have not asked for your consent, the legal basis for processing is formed by Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest here lies in the optimization of the loading time, stability and security of our online services.
Profiling (for purposes of advertising, personalized information, etc.) may also occur in the context of using these external services. Profiling can also be conducted across services and devices. For more information about the services used, the scope of data processing and the technologies and procedures involved in the use of the respective services, as well as whether profiling takes place when using the respective services, and, if applicable, information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects for you of such processing, please refer to the additional information about the services we use at the end of this section as well as the links provided there.
