What is WeAssist™?
WeAssist is an innovative mobility solution that allows nurses to move a hospital bed from A to B noticeably easier without the help of a second person. The system registers the impulses that the user gives with their hands on the bed and provides the necessary support for almost every driving manoeuvre thanks to intelligent software and the TENTE Integral Assist castor. Basically, similar to an e-bike:
The nurse starts a movement – and WeAssist provides the appropriate support. The mobility solution makes it easier to drive off and slow down. It helps you drive straights and makes it easier to manoeuvre corners. It is also a boost if the nurse wants to cope with a gradient. On gradients, it takes out the speed and absorbs the heavy weight of the bed. In other words: Whenever help is needed, it offers exactly the support that a second person would provide in bed and patient transport.
Another decisive plus: The nurse simply stands by the bed and gets started. Prior knowledge or introductory training? Not needed! The operation is completely intuitive. True to the motto: Easy going..
What benefits does WeAssist™ offer?
Improved ergonomics
WeAssist relieves the burden on nurses and helps them to avoid the wrong posture. The user saves power and protects their back and joints. In this way, WeAssist helps to improve working conditions, increase employee satisfaction and reduce sick leave.
More efficiency
With WeAssist, a hospital bed can be moved more easily by just one person. This enables the system to speed up workflows, increase productivity and make more flexible use of human resources. The result: a clear increase in efficiency.
Lower costs
WeAssist saves time and above all money. This is because the system can be integrated easily and cost-effectively. Installation for many existing bed systems is even done via plug-and-play. In later use, it enables a variety of efficiency increases in hospital operations and thus ensures a measurable cost reduction.

Created for strict hygiene standards
Hygiene plays a decisive role in hospital castors. Our castors and wheels therefore meet the strictest hygiene standards without compromise. The WeAssist system has been specially developed for frequent cleaning in car washes. Of course, we support our healthcare customers with a wide range of other mobility solutions that offer long-term washability, extreme durability and traceless movement.
To effectively prevent rust and corrosion, all metal components of our permanently washable castors and wheels are made of stainless steel. In addition, many of our developments rely on hydrolysis-resistant materials that maintain their properties and function even after prolonged exposure to water and, thanks to their excellent properties, help to reduce the formation of potentially harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi and other pathological germs.
Another solution from our portfolio to help maintain hygiene standards: non-marking wheels with reduced abrasion. They leave less residue on floors and are an important building block to avoid cross-contamination between different areas.
